My Richardson clan were partly in Ohio I think but the bulk of us lived in the Ellinwood, KS area. Maybe we have some of the same you have more?

The earliest information I have regarding my RICHARDSON heritage is beginning with Melvin E. Richardson, Sr. He married Alice (Delaney) and had a son, Melvin E., Jr.

Melvin E. Richardson, Jr. married Marie (Krug) - these were my greatgrandparents - and had 6 children, Lucile (my grandmother), Lillian (died as an infant), Donald Robert (died as an infant), Melvin E., III, John Andrew and Lyle (actually that was his middle name and the name he went by but I think his real name was Henry).

Any information would be extremely helpful....thanks! If you have anything, please respond by e-mail at

Uncle George married Emily Beach. She died in 1933, in Moline, Elk, Kansas. Emily was daughter to Calbert Harvey Beach, who lived in Crawford County, Pa, in 1849. My grandfather, William Orestes Beach was born there, but the family was in Wisconsin in 1861, when my grandfather joined the Wisconsin Volunteers. He was wounded, and discharged. In summer of 1865, he had 16th birthday. Hope this is of some value.

Were your Richardsons in Jay or Randolph County Indiana by abt. 1836? If so we may have a connection. they then went to Iowa, Hardin Co, by 1855. They were Daniel and William P. Richardson. Previous to Indiana they were in Green Co, Ohio.
