Lucy's full name was Lucy Elizabeth Jefferson, and her husband's name was Charles Lilburne Lewis. Lucy died in 1784, though I don't know where. They had a daughter, Mary Randolph Lewis. There is more info that I have, and could email to you. I am related to Thomas through his brother Randolph. Please email me if I can help any further.

I am related to Lucy Jefferson through the son of Charles Lilbern Lewis and her - Randloph Lewis.
Lucy died in 1811 or 1812 and is burried at Rocky Hill (the name of the family home) in Livingston County, KY. It is believed that Charles Lilburne Lewis went back to VA and died there, but I am not certain of that.
Do you have any pictures of Lucy and Charles Lewis or any of their family?
I look forward to hearing from you.

President Jefferson got Charles an Army commission. Unfortunately, he died while in camp in 1806.

Benton Merrill's "Jefferson's Nephews" is a good, if sad source on the Col. Charles L. Lewis family and tragedy.

Apparently my mother is descended from one of the Lewis sons (i suspect Charles as he fathered another mulatto bamed Matilda) via an enslaved woman. That union produced Ellen "Nelly" Lewis (married a Youel). M
