The Nowa Cerkiew I am interested in is near Pelplin. I have refined my search and have found the ancestral village to be Rauden (Rudno)Tczew, Poland a few kilometers from Nowa Cerkiew. I have writen a letter to the local parish "Holy Virgin Mary". I have received info from the parish priest by DVD but it was damaged in the mail and I requested another. I sent proper packing material and a donation to the parish. I have birth/marriage records. My goal at this point is to determine if I have any relatives still in the area.

How unfortunate that the DVD got damaged in the mail. Hopefully the priest can mail you another DVD.

I know that there is a Poland's phone site on the internet so you might want to check if there are some distant relatives there. You could also ask, if Tad will not mention it, on the Genforum board.
