We could be looking for the same person-indirectly- I'm looking for a J. I. Maddox
(nicknamed-Bud) I thought he may be the father or uncle of a Merle Maddox (b1908?). Merle Maddox had a child that was raised by a cousin-Marion Maddox and his wife Alma Franklin in Andalusia, Alabama. I don't have
precise dates or names, but just in case they
are the same, I thought I'd email.
Nancy Maddox.

Hi Nancy,
You and I are talking about the same Maddox. Marion and Alma Ruth raised that boy.His name was James Alfred Maddox and he was born on 11, Sept. 1925, just before Marion and Alma got married. He died in Annapolis,Maryland on Feb. 25, 1975. He married Patricia Winkle and they had four children, Wm. Randy, John Robert,Melanie Irene, and Karen.
My email is wwwbutts@prodigy.net Please email me and let's talk(type).

I have a list of Maddox' in Coffee County on the 1920 Census and the 1860 Census. If you'll give me the names that might appear on each of these. I'll see if I can match them to anything I've got.
