I will appreciate information about Serran families in the
Plau, Alt Schwerin, Jabel and Waren (M"uritz) areas.

David Christian Serrahn b 1732 in Plau and drowned 12Dez1794
in the Pauer See. David married Liese Dorthie LEMCKE in 8Nov1768 in Alt Schwerin. Their son was named A(H)rendt Martin Serrahn.

The above 7 children were baptised in Alt Schwerin and
probably were born in Wendorf located 1 Km south of Alt Schwerin.

Johann Joachim Theodore Serrahn b 6Juni1815 Verh 27Juli1838 mit Christina Maria Friderica SCHEEL in Jabel. Their son
Joachim Georg Fiedrich b 13Juni1841. This family with another son Wm Martin emmigated in April 1855 to Manitowoc, Wisc. They perhaps immigrated at New Orleans. A few years later Johann purchased 40 acres about 3 miles north of Algoma, Wisc. The next 2 generations had large
families and there are many descendants in the areas surrounding Algoma.

Hi Bob,

Please reply if this is still a valid email address. My current email is I tried returning your call but always got a busy signal and now have lost the number. I'm wondering if the reunions are still going on or, if not, how I may get in contact with some of the other Haegele and Linstedt members. I recently received a large number of photos from Gilbert Haegele and I'm looking for people who may be able to help identify some of them. Some are so old I may never get IDs.
