Australian Bradbear descendents

My Greatgrandmother was Ada Bradbear who was born here in Indented Head Victoria. Her parents James Bradbear and Sarah Otway emigrated here along with James' (two daughters?)and his sister Elizabeth on the City of Manchester on 11 July 1854. According to the 1851 census James and Sarah lived in Bedminster with his sister Elizabeth brothers Joseph and Alfred. No mention of his parents. Nextdoor lived Sarah's parents James and Ann and her brother Robert. Do any descendents have any more background on either side of the family

The Ballarat Courier (Vic. : 1914 - 1918)Tuesday 27 November 1917

You will see a few things in the papers..1897:

James Bradbear, a wealthy resident of the Drysdale district, has been committed for trial on a charge of assaulting Ann Blanche Chislette, aged 10 years.

So much information to go on, Thankyou.
Will be doing a bit of searching for awhile at least it will keep me busy. I'm also looking to see if there are any rellies still living so I can ask some questions too. Especially if they have any photos.
All the best,Trish

Hi 'pep481'. My 2nd great grandmother was Emily Bradbear, Ada's sister. I do know that Emily was actually born at sea, on the "City of Manchester", but her birth is registered at Intented Head, Victoria. A family member told me James was the 'black sheep of the family', but that's about the extent of what I know. The parents in Somerset seem to be easy enough to find, but any further back I'm stuck. I'm especially interested in the Otway side, but can't find anything further back than Robert/Ann Otway/Oatway, of which i'm not certain.
