Thank you for the information. Bonifacio and Filomena immigrated to states in 1895. Some of their children's names were Camilla, Michael,Daniel, Rudolpho, Ambrosina, Nancy Theresa and Albert. Bonifacio marred Nuscenza Di Mascio in the mid 1800's. He then married Filomena after his first wife was killed in a fire. It would probably be your grandmothers parents or possibly be her great grandparents. If you have any other info, please e-mail me at sondricc5@aol.com or sondricc5@comcast.com. There may be a link somewhere between our families. Thank you Sondra Ricci

Forgot to tell you Bonifaccio's father's name was Michele Tomasso (tomaffo) and his mothers name was Luigia Niro. They were both born in Cardito, Italy. Hopefully, this might help in seeing if our families are related somehow.

Hello - I was wondering whether you have come across a connection between D'Mascio (or Di Mascio) and Verallo in your family? I have a Brieita (or Bridget) D'Mascio marrying a Lawrence (or Lorenzo) Verallo in 1910 in Cardiff, Wales. One of Lawrence's brothers was married to a Soave (born in USA - don't know where) and there is a connection with the Lorente family. I believe they may all have come from the Cardito area of Italy. I am not sure how some of them ended up in Wales (linked to ice cream).
Any leads would be very helpful thank you
Carol

I have just started searching my husbands family free and from what I can gather on the 1911 census is Antonio verallo married Biagina Soave and had one son called Joseph who is my husbands grandfather, they resided in cardiff and ran an ice cream business from there home. I am desperate for any information that you could pass on to me regarding the verallo family.
Regards
Amanda

I am afraid I don't know much of my larger family history, although I do know a little about my Grandfather Antonio Verallo, his Brother was Lorenzo, my Grandmother was Biagina. they had quite a few children, my Father was Joseph, the eldest Son. Antonio made ice cream from his home in Rodney Street Cardiff and sold it on a horse drawn cart. He was killed, I understand, by motor bike whilst out selling his ice cream. I have no photos of him. My Grandmother Biagina was interred during the War, even though 3 of her sons were in the British Army. but when it was realised she was born in Ohio USA and was an American citizen they had to let her out. the Demascio family were also ice cream makers I seem to remember
