I have a bound copy of a Herrmann geneaology.
Michael Philomina immigrated from Bavaria to Chicago area 1882. I am looking for relatives to give this to. Elderly owner has no children and would like to pass it on.
It was compiled by Curt McGee, Texas, 1987.
Pleas contact if you know of any relatives or I can supply names of more current generation.

Thank you for your response regarding the Herrmann Family book I found. Currently I am letting a genalogical assoc. copy it. I will check on the names etc. and see if it is your family branch. I would be happy for you to have it if it is your family line. I have kept your name and address. It may take a few weeks for me to get the book back. I can be reached at

I am researching the Herrmann Family. My GRM was born in Reading, PA (6/27/1848). Her husband was George Eigensee born in Bavaria, Germany (5/30/1842). Her father was Nicholas Herrmann born in Zweibricken, Germany. Her mother was Elizabeth Fecher (?) born In Muetzenburg, Germany. Could these folks be listed in the book that you have? Any information would be most helpful. I can be E-mailed at

I have been looking for information on my Grandmother's family, her name was Regina Philomina Herrmann.Your message mentioned the name Philomina and I thought there might be a connection. Her parents names were Johannes and Lisette, her sibblings were Elizabeth (Lizzie)and Johann Christian (John). They lived most of their lives in the Philadelphia, PA area and owned property in Sea Isle City, NJ. I have several correspondances written in German, from various locations, Stuttgardt, Karlsruhe, Liepzig and Zurich. I would appreciate it if you would look through your book to see if there might be a link. Thank you.

I just saw this poting while I researching PHillipina Herrmann, my ggg grandmother. The info I have states she came to the US with her parents and a sister. The parents died in the yellow fever epidemic, PHillipina's sister was adopted (no record of her name). But, your posting mentions Johann Christian---I have a document from Oct 16, 1853 with the name Johann Christian and Peter Hermann. I have no idea what it is and have never been able to place it with my research. I also have a copy ofa letter written to Christian Herman Wagner in New Orleans, dated 1853. Do any of these names sound like something you are looking for.

I'm researching info on an Otto Herrmann born 4/26/1906 in West Point, NE. He married Marie Christine Martens on 6/8, 1932 in Scribner, NE. Their families were both from the Bavaria area in Germany - but I have no info on Otto Herrmann. They had three children - Donald, Fred and Judy Kay. Do any of these names fall within your book?
