I’ve been putting together a site for my Great-Great-Great Grandfather John Finlay, who was a school teacher at Ballarat during the Eureka stockade. If anyone knows anything more about him or his descendants and could help that would be great. Other than Victoria some of his grandchildren can be found in NSW and WA.
Known surnames include – Finlay, Aitken, Stanton, Batty, Maitland, Farmont, Sayers, Boag, De Banks, McBurney and Williams

Also in case you don't have it Wm Lloyd WILLIAMS, son of Wm Lloyd & Grace (nee FINLAY) died in 1968 aged 66 in Essendon (reg 15386).
Thanks Katie! I've been looking at your site and it has been very helpful!
Margaret Aitken and family moved to New Zealand sometime in the 1860's maybe following the goldrush in Dunedin? I've yet to find them on a passenger list though.
I also found that her mother Margaret Finlay died in Chorlton in 1844.
Hope this helps, thanks for your work
