Sorry I gave wrong bday there are two Nicholas Sprangs on family tree. First one was born 1834 and died in 1881. Showing that he married a Maria Schmitt.

I don't think this is the Nicholas that Ellen is looking for.
There are quite a few of them in different branches. I am interested in
all the branches so was interested in your post. Have you
visited http://www.geocities.com/heartland/shores/1702 ?
Perhaps you can add to the information I have on Nicholas and Maria Spang

I have been researching my Daddy's background since he passed away in February, and I found a Nicholas Spang in his lineage. Dad's parents were Andrew and Emma Spang, and lived in Wisconsin, he had a brother Leo, and has a sister Bernadette.

Andrew is the same line as Ellen Spang started. If you will look under Miscellany Spangs on the Spang Website, www.spangGenealogy.com, you will find more information. I do not show a Leo but wonder if that was a nickname.

My paternal grandfather was Andrew Spang; his sons were Leo and Eric, and daughter Bernadette. Grandmother's name was Emily Guillame (maiden) Just seeking to know more..
