I am looking for the orphanage that my father grew up in. I believe it was in North Carolina in the 40's. One of the stories he used to tell was about a company that donated a whole bunch of pudding, including butterscotch to the orphanage which he hated. One other story was that they had a farm where they grew rutebegas which he had to eat and also hated. If anybody knows of an orphanage around that time that had a large amount of pudding donated to them or any thing else that may help, please contact me at Tandt122@hotmail.com Thanks.

I have a book entitled Nazareth Orphan's Home Golden Anniversary 1906-1956. It indicates that the home had a farm where the orphans worked. Contains a list of orphans names, the period of time they lived there and if parents were deceased. The list of names is too long to scribe, but I will look up a name for you.

I too am looking for the orphanage that my father lived in but he can't remember the state where it was. If you could look to see if there was a boy born around 1937 last name Walford or a similar spelling I would greatly appreciate it.

Surnames: Weaver, Rose, Panulopolis
I know your message is nearly four years old, but hopefully you still receive this. Would you kindly look up a name for me? It may npt be the correct home, but hopefully will provide an answer one way or the eother. The name at the time would probably have been Edward Lee Weaver b. 1938 or 1939. Not adopted until 1947. Have parent names also.
