Hi Patricia,

I can't see any obvious connection with our Stather's family, but thought it was worth sharing.

Thomas Stather was born around 1825 in Yorkshire to John Stather and Margaret Apheett (spelling could be incorrect).

Thomas married Anne Parker around 1851. They had 11 children 6 of which died before 1869. The surviving children were Rosa Ellen b. 1853, Sarah Ann b. 1857, Thomas James b. 1855, Francis William b. 1869, Annie Elizabeth b. 1851. All born around London.

The family arrived in Australia on the Charlotte Gladstone in December of 1869. Have further details on the family here in Australia, but trying to get back a little further with my research in England.

Richard, found your Williams family on the 1841 census, william was a tin plate worker. I am trying to link my Stathers family back to their origins in Hull, my GG grandfather william Stathers was born there about 1825-1830's. He was a naval seaman. The name Willoughby was used as a second name by his son and grandson and I have found a Fanny Willoughby Stathers born in Holy Trinity Kingston upon Hull in 1827 daughter of Thomas and Fanny Stathers. Have you any connection to any Willoughby's in your research, my email is
