This is just a general message trying to bring together all those researching any of the following variations of Pidancet: Pedancet, Pedaucet, Pianchet, Pidaucet, and Pridancet.

I personally am researching the line of Marie Constance Pedancet born in 1845 in France, married in 1866 to Simon Preston Breen, and died October 1, 1892 in San Juan Bautista, San Benito, California.

She came with her family from France to San Francisco, California and settled in San Benito County. I believe that she had three brothers: Adrian, Abel, and Sebastian. The only relative I can prove is her brother Abel, who was naturalized Aug 23, 1869 in Salinas, California. I have traced him on various passenger lists from San Francisco back to New York back to Cuba back to New Orleans. I can't find any record from France to New Orleans, however, and my trail ends there. His name in each passenger list varies as any of the above forms mentioned.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I invite anyone to post a message with a surname similar at all to the name of this board.
