How interesting! As you can see I am also a Richard, born in New Castle, PA, 1940 and was raised across the river in Beaver Falls. I am looking for a missing brother named Mervin Lewis McDanel at birth who's name was most likely changed before he was age two as he was taken by the county court system from my Mother. My Father by birth record is Mervin Ross McDanel who still lives in Elwood City but denies it all - no matter the record is clear.

Anyway, most of the McDanel's are related in one way or another depending one where and when they arrived from England (the name is actually English and several McDanel's are noted in records back to the mid-1700's in England). So having said all of this, good hunting with your seach and if you trip onto something interesting, it would be appreciated.

I was just curious when I saw somebody else who I don't think is related to me with the same last name as I. I am a 19 year old college student and waiter from Dallas, Tx. I wouldn't mind hearing from you. Who knows, maybe we are distantly related. Hope to hear from you.
