We may be related, Aymand Marceau married my grandmother, Euphamie Schexnayder, probably in Crowley, Louisiana. She lived in several places like, Abbeville, Kaplan, Gueydan Morse, and Crowley. Aymand Marceau had a son Euclide Ulysses Marceau, he drove a school bus in the 1930's. He had a son Nelson John Marceau, Married Dometile Theriot, she is still living. they lived out in the country between Morse and Crowley. Nelson's children are: Eulice John, Eugene Joseph, Ervin Paul, Lee Anna, Mary Alice, and Woodrow. I don't recognize the Marceau's you listed, I didn't know all of them. Aymand had other children that I did not know, but I have found some of there graves, I also found there marriage record in Crowley, Louisiana. Hope this will help some, e-mail me if you have a connection. My e-mail is:

A couple of the names sound familiar but I'm not sure. My grandmothers name was Celeste and I know she had a brother by the name of Albert and another brother by the name of Aless Marceaux I may have Mispelt his name.
I know that I have a cousin by the name of Ulysse Marceaux that is living in Kaplan. Let me know if you have found others we are probably related somewhere along the line.

Hello my name is Chad Marceaux.I am P.D. Marceaux
grandson from Kaplan. I was wondering if you
had found The Marceaux Family Creast. From my
understanding there was only one Marceausx that came
from France. Have you ever been to the Marceaux
family reunion in Kaplan, LA. If you do have or know
where I could find the family crest I would greatly
appreciate some Input. Thank You

I am a double Marceaux or Marceau (the original spelling in Chartres, Frances, where we, who spell our names this way originated from) parents were 2nd cousins (not so unusual). I was born in Kaplan in 1944. Was educated in Texas from 2nd grade up. Graduated & attended college. First husband military so we traveled. I have worked in one profession or another most of my life. I wanted more: to see places I'd never seen but read about, to see & talk to new people, to know more about most everything ... The status quo has never been enough. I was in touch with Sidney Marceaux,(now deceased) my 2nd cousin numerous times. I represented the Marceaux families, in Father Sidney Marceaux's place, in Chartres, France in 2006 for the festivities when the General's statue was re-installed in the Marceau Place. The French Marceau's, as well as I are not happy about where his statue was installed; we want it back in the center, not on the side. I have many stories, geneology records, etc. My father was Alexander (Lex) Marceaux (bis brothers: Willie, Essie, Paul, Wilton, Rixby); my mother was Annabel Lemaire (her mother & my dad's father were bother and sister); my mother had two sisters and one brother: Mabel (called Mae), Annette, & Arthur (called T-Ture, which is short in Cajun for little; he was named after his father). I speak the Cajun language fluently. Although educated in Texas my heart was in Kaplan with my Dad and cousins. I have no problem understanding the French and dearly "love" France. I am saving money to visit our French Cousins in 2012. If anyone wants to go we can make it for approx. 9 days for approx. $3,500. Which means we stay in Paris for several days on the left bank in the St. Germain area, approx. 3 blocks from the Louvre (stayed there in 2009) Of course, a friend came for the grand tour and we shared expenses. When I leave De Gaulle airport for home I always ask God to allow me "one more visit to France"....there is just something in my genes, I guess. I am 67 in Sept. and have long ago begun genealogy work (for my husband as well) so forgive me if I get so excited about France. Louisiana has always been in my blood and I dearly loved my elders (not like so many young ones today)...I quested them and wrote things down. Have a bad ear and throat infection and feel tired now. Talk to you all later. Your relative (because all Marceaux's are related)....Dee
