I am looking for any and all information about the Lydamore line with particular interest in those families who came from England through Canada to northern NY--St. Lawrence Co.-- in the 1800-1850 time frame. My great-grandmother was Jane Nancy Lydamore b.1854. and m. to John Henderson Layaw/Layo/ Langelier. Her parents were William Lydamore and Harriett ?.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I don't know if there is a connection but John Lydamore and Lydia Ollington had a son William probably born Thetford Norfolk between 1822 and 1830. My line THOMAS LIDDEMORE son of John and Lydia born 1830.
I might have something on William if you think there is a connection.

Dear Julie,
Thanks for your reply to my query. As you probably noticed you are the first one to reply.
I would be interested in whatever you may have on Lydamore/Liddemore/Lidamore. Where is your Liddemore family from and where did they settle?
I notice that you are in Australia. Are you that nationality or an American living there?
Thanks again for posting and hope to hear from you at your convenience.

Best regards,
Charlotte Caruso

Dear Laura,
Thank you for your post to the Lydamore Board at Ancestry.com
Since I the hard drive with the info is disconnected at the present time (we had a computer problem and since the hard drive wasn't original equipment with computer, I had to disconnect it to have tech support help me and haven't had it reconnected.) I don't have ready access to the info that I have. However, in the dim recesses of my brain I seem to remember the name Elizabeth. The Raymondville that you mention is not that far from Louisville where I know that the Lydamores lived.
I'd like to know more about what you have as does my cousin, Helen Drake. Her late mother, Marjorie Layaw Upell, was an older sister to my father, Lloyd Layaw.
I'd like to know where you are living. I am in Annapolis, MD.
I hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience.
Best regards,
Charlotte Kerns ( the message board says Caruso, but I re-married back in June of 2002)
