The information I have on the Jackel family is very slim. I do not know the name of Henrich Jackle's parents or names of his sibblings.
Yes, there is Ludwig in the tree, however I have not yet verified his date of birth. The family came to Minnesota through Wisconsin. They settled in southern Minnesota. I'm wondering where John and Carolina settled??

Hello. I am from Canada also researching more info. into my husband's family line.
At present we spell our name "Jackle." It was also spelled "Jaeckle" and "Jakle,"according to German records.
We can trace back to Ludwig Jackle b. March 09, 1792 in Satulmare, Bukowina, Romania
d. Jan. 10, 1863 married a Eva Charlotta Wosner b. May 19, 1795 d. Dec. 22, 1870
There are a few "Ludwig" Jackles in our family tree... we are wondering if any of you out there are related to us??? and at present we are trying to tie in Descendants from the Christian Jackle line.
We are also trying to tie in Johann Jackle b. 1751 in Flozlingen, District of Rottweil, Germany. Is "Christian" another son of Johann's?

I am looking for this same name. My grandpa Peter Jackels, father known, was born at Jordan,Mn.to Margaret Jackels daughter of Mathias Jekels or Jackels or Jaeckels and etc. Mathias is as far as we can get. He immigrated in 1857 to Scott Co. Minnesota. Shakopee, Mn. is the Co. courthouse and Jordan, Mn. Historistal So.both have very good records. Mathias was born sometime around 1816 in Germany. Also says Prussia in some records. If you have anything of this on name I would greatly appreicate it. Good fortune with your findings. I wonder if we could be somehow related?????

My Great Grandfather's brother, Ferdinand Hellwig, married Marie Pauline Jackel, daughter of Johan Jackel and Augustine (Engler) in 1887. They were married in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. I have a copy of the marriage register. I haven't tried tracing the Jackel's but I thought I would post this information in case it might fill in a gap in your search. Ferdinand was born in 1855, so he would have been 32 when he married Marie Pauline. Auguste Jackel was a witness at the wedding but I don't know what relationship Auguste was (brother / Uncle) to Marie Pauline or Johan. Bill
