I too am a descendant of Thomas>Anthony>Mark>Anthony>Anthony>Mark>Anthony>Havila>Theodore>Havilah>Joyce>
Leanne. It is a confusing line to be sure and I've yet to find another verification of the Anthony-Havila connection. Havila Eames m. Philotheta Warner abt 1809 in Hinsdale, Berkshire Co., MA. What is your lineage? Have you heard of Anne Grice or Grier who marries Mark Eames 5-24-1750 in Voluntown, CT?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

I am also a direct desendent of Thomas Eames. I have a small genealogy put together in the early 1900's by Moses Eames. My line runs Thomas, Nathaniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel... I have never found out how old Thomas was when he came here. Would he have been 12 or 13 years old? If so, who brought him? Where in England was he from? I have visited Framingham and area and found all sorts of wonderful Eames information about 15 years ago.
I live in upstate New York. My great-great grandfather, Daniel Wight Eames came to N.Y. from new England and settled in Constableville about 1807. He came from Conn.,I believe. Flo Wallace

Florence: I assume this is the Thomas that came to America in 1634 from Dorcester England. He was born in 1618. His family was massacred by indians in 1676 near present day Framingham. Three children were taken captive and eventually freed. My ancestors were: 1. Thomas 2.Samuel 3.Jonathan 4.Moses 5. Moses Jr. 6.Charles A. 7.Frank C. 8. Charles A. and then me. I have considerable information on this lineage, including a web page I found about the Massacre. I think you can find it by EAMES MASSACRE on the search engine of Yahoo. Let me know if I can help you further. Regards, Don Eames

Posted for Frances Crabb: I am not aware of any Eames relation in the South. My family originally came from Mass. and settled in KS in 1860's. A William Eames,a brother of my ancestor stayed in area now called Telford,TN. I imagine some of hisdescendants still live in Southern States. Good Luck on your quest. Don Eames

Have been hunting for an Alicia Eames (maiden). She attended the U of Colorado @ Boulder in
the early 1930's. I have a picture of her from a Boulder local paper when she was elected
to Mortar Board, dated 5-18-1931. Anyone know of her?

I too am a direct descendent of Thomas Eames born 1618, and one of the first settlers in Framingham, MA. I have a chart which takes the family down to Elizabeth Emes (1808) in Ontario, Canada.
In the U. S. they seem to have dropped the "E" and in Canada the "A" has been dropped.
Contact me at, and I may have some information you can use.
