CAme to the colonies from England in the 1700s.
Family moved from Va? to Indiana (Greencastle) where
some Crawleys still live, and my line on to south-
central Iowa (Unionville) where my great-grandfather,
Archibald Roscoe Crawley lived until the 1930's. I have
extensive info I would delight in sharing. Need
info on the Crawleys before their move to Indiana and
from England.

My gggrandfather,Captain Andrew Crawley, drowned at sea Sept.23,1840 near Provincetown,Mass.I have been unable to determine where he was born, who his parents were or what ship he sailed. My family oral history recalls a British origin.Family oral history has proven to be very exact up until now.I believe that Capt,Crawley came to Cape Cod via Cape Ann,Mass.-Salem,Mass..

Our genealogy line from Crawley, England to the south is well documented. My fathers name is Samuel Priest Crawley, Grandfather: Chappell Bakewell Crawley and I can get my hands on a lot of information from earlier genealogy research if this fits. Would like to share info.
