I descend from Charity Bardin, b. 1827 Wayne Co., NC. Her parents were William and Nancy Cook(e)Bardin, both also born in Wayne Co., and she had a brother, John Bardin, b. 9 Sept. 1814, Wayne Co., NC d. 1840 MS. If this is your John, I have additional information on this family which I would be happy to share with you.

I'm helping my cousin with her Bardin line. Her ancestor
is believed to be Sherrard (Sherod) Bardin who was born around 1805 in Wayne co. and died 1843 Durrant, MS.
Her ancestor, James Thomas Bardin, born in Wayne Co November 05, 1834, is believed be be the son of Sherrard. Do you have any info. on this family?

A lady down in Texas sent me a book of the decendants of John and Nancy Bardin.
I personally do not know much about them. However, I am looking for information on James Bathel Bardin. He was my great grandfather. If you come across any information pertaining to him, I would love to have a copy. So just email me please.

There are several doing genealogy on the John and Nancy Bardin line that I'm sure would be interested in your book. Please contact me when you get the chance, I would like to know where to obtain a copy of the book for myself. Most of the line I'm searching is from Texas and Oklahoma. Thanks for your help. I will send you the lady's name when I get back home this evening. I am curious as to
whether or not you have come across any Bardin's from Louisian or Arkansas. If so, please
let me know because I am just getting started in researching my family history. Any help would be appreciated.

I looked through my notes and the only Bardin's in Lousiana are Eva Katherine Bardin, George Gattis Bardin, John Woodward Bardin, Jack Dudley Bardin, and Evelyn Bardin. They were all born in Mississippi but died in Lousiana. I didn't see anything in Arkansas. Are your lines through John and Nancy Bardin from North Carolina? There are other Bardin's in North Carolina that no one has seemed to be able to link with John and Nancy that may have gone to Lousiana and Arkansas. Please e-mail me with your email address and I can give you names of others to make contact with also that have been very helpful. Thanks Kathy Bardin Domgaard
