The AVERN family tree consists of the main following surnames; PERRISS, AVERN, HAWTHORNE,SADLER and LAVEROCK. The Averns seem to have originated in London, England and spread to Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Surrey and Scotland. Any information on the Averns or any of the above surnames is welcome.

I am trying to trace my Averns ancestors. They seem to have been around the Foleshill area of Coventry going back to 1800. I would be interested to hear from anyone who has any more information.

The Sarah Jane SADLER in my family line was born in Kidderminster, England but I dont have any information on who her parents were or where they came from. Do you believe there is a link between yours and mine?

Hi Eileen,

We have spent a lot of time researching the Avern name, but have concentrated in London. We have got back to a James Avern marrying a Sarah Maxwell in 1787 in London. I am sure there must be a connection with the Warwickshire family, but have so far failed to find any. Can you help at all. So far we have got over 500 names in the S London area - a lot of whom are connected with the cork cutting industry.

Regards

Rick
