My branch of the Wyatt family tree is related to Henry Lawson Wyatt who was the 1st Confederate soldier kill in the Civil War (age 19) and whose statue is on the Capitol grounds in Raleigh; this young man understood to have been a cousin to my forebearers who came from the Raleigh, NC area to Attala County, Mississippi after the Civil War. Would be interested in contacts from Wyatts who are also related to this young soldier. Understand that we had close relatives who were in that war, several at the Battle of Gerrysburg, one of whom who took a bayonet through the hand. Gratefully for positive responses, we remain, James A. Wyatt, Jr. DOB 11/27/1937, Tupelo, Miss., Kosciusko, MS HS Class of '56, Miss. State University Class of 1961
