Mr. Baker,
I have been told that while my family for the last 150 years has been predominately from the Mifflin area, that we originated in the Berks area. I know there was a Jacob Dippery from that area that served in the War of 1812, but I don't have any more info than that. I have Dippery's back in the very early 1800's but then there is a gap from about 1815 to 1850. I cannot make any connection as I have no info on anyone between those periods. Sue and Judy were helping me on this board and I greatly appreciate it, but I am not sure that I come from the Tippery family. My Grandmother has told me that we were originally from Berks area, our name may have been spelled Dupree, and that coupled with the fact that there are documents showing that there are Dippery's back in the late 1700's and early 1800's I am now really confused. Any help you could provide would be most appreciated. Thanks much!
