Hi Dana,This is your Aunt Pam. You might want to find out if
Aunt Diane or Aunt Barbara or your Mom still have a copy of
our grandfathers will. Mine has been gone for a long time
but I remember it had 7 to 10 alias's on it, with the last
and final name being John William Casey. If a copy is located
it can be researched under his given birth name. I seem to
remember one of the names being something like Blajeh Zawaski.
I also do not know if my Grandfather actually had a visa given
so many aliases, and everyone living in fear of being deported.I also remember Aunt Bea and my mother being afraid
of being deported, even though I was so small at the time.
I remember once I was at Grandpa's, and Aunt Bea made me hide
with her in the closet and told me to keep quiet and do not
move or talk until the coast was clear. If I made a noise
the man (or men) would take them away, and I would never see
them or my Mother again.I was really small and scared, and
that is why I remember the incident.
Also, I know our mother was in mental hospitals both in
California and Illinois. Those records have to be somewhere.
