WRENS, Ga. - Mrs. Tamer H. Yancey, 51, of Georgia Highway 88, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Stone Springfield African Methodist Episcopal Church, Stapleton, with the Rev. Leroy Britt Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Yancey, a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, was deputy clerk at the Jefferson County courthouse and a member of Eden Baptist Church, Louisville, where she was a member of the choir.
Survivors include her husband, William Yancey; two sons, Virgil Yancey and Randy Yancey, both of Augusta; her mother, Isabell M. Harmon, Louisville; five brothers, Robert Harmon Jr., Eli Harmon and Isiah Harmon, all of Louisville, and Willie Harmon and Berry Harmon, both of Augusta; and three sisters, Mamie Lou Harmon and Mary Harmon, both of Louisville, and Carrie Brown, Wrens.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Jefferson County High School Class of 1969.
Friends may call at the residence or at Freeman Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the church after the burial.
