Mr. Bill B. Yancey, age 86 of McDonough, Georgia passed away September 6, 2012. He was born in Grayson, Georgia to the late William C. and Sally Mae Haney Yancey. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Bill operated Midway Barber College for many years and was a professional barber. He was an original race car driver which later developed into NASCAR. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Survivors include his wife, Rudean Yancey of McDonough; daughter, Teressa (Tony) Owen of Jackson; granddaughter, Jessica Owen; sister, Kate Needham of Loganville; nephews and niece, Jimmy (August) Wingo of Lake Lanier, Joey (Charlotte) Needham of Loganville, Rhonda (Wayne) Wilson of Loganville and Mike Boggs. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family Saturday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Contributions are asked to me made to the Parkinson's Disease Association in memory of Bill.
