______ MRS. MINNIE CADAGAN ______
Minnie Yancey, daughter of James B and Ann Maria (Sanford) Yancey, was born in Newark, Missouri on August 22, 1882. She moved with her family to LaBelle, Miisouri in 1887. It was in LaBelle that Minnie met Earl M Bohon, a railroad man, and they married in about 1905.
Minnie and Earl had two children. Genevieve was born in 1909 and lived only until 1911. Lela was born later in 1911 and lived a wonderful life until her death in 2005.
Earl worked his way up to be station agent and telegrapher for the Quincy, Omaha and Kansas City Railroad but died an early death having developed Bright's disease (acute nephritis), in 1913.
Minnie was a widow for 11 years, working at the railroad depot, until she met John H. Cadagan, a Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad man, and they married December 25, 1924.
John and Minnie lived in Sullivan, Missouri in 1930 and Minnie was living in Burlington, Iowa in 1940.
It is unknown when John died. Minnie died October 3, 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio, possibly living at the home of her daughter, Lela. She was buried at the LaBelle Cemetery, LaBelle, Missouri.
