Charles Mack Yancey passed away peacefully at his home in Lake Dallas on April 2, 2010.He was the owner of J & B Auto parts in Lake Dallas and retired in 2001 to spend time with his family and grandchildren.
He was born March 14, 1943 to Henry and Lou Yancey. He was raised in the Sherman-Denison area. Charles served in the Air Force and was stationed in Morocco, Africa as an Air-Policeman. Charles enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. He loved to cook and always made special treats to share with his extended family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother and father; his sister, Joyce and brothers Robert and Jammie.
He is survived by his wife Judy Yancey of 34 years; his daughter Kristen Yancey and husband Ronnie French of Krum; daughter Misty LaFavor of Lake Dallas; and son Eric Yancey. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Ashtyn, Taylor, Randee, David, Jadyn, Danny (Daniel), Dayton, and Elizabeth; sister in-law Glenda Burgan and husband Richard Burgan of Woodbine and Brenda Templin of Lake Dallas. Many, many nieces and nephews will miss “Uncle Charles.”
The Memorial Service will be held at New Life Chruch-Shady Shores, 300 Meadowlark Lane, Denton, TX76208 at 10 am on Saturday April 10, 2010.
