Magaline Yancey, 69, of Greenway, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at her home.
She was born May 15, 1933, in Lake City, Ar., the daughter of the late Edgar and Margie Ellison Gipson. She was united in marriage to Doyn Yancey on June 25, 1960. To this union, four children were born.
She is survived by her husband, Doyn Yancey; three daughters, Janet Parrish and husband, Dale, of Roach, Mo., Sandra Turman and husband, Chuck, of Campbell, and Linda Campbell of Malden; one son, Charles Yancey of Greenway; nine grandchildren; seven great-granchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Gipson of Peace Valley, Mo. and James Gipson of East Peoria; five sisters, Velda Mills of Wardville, Ok., Reba Taylor of Cartersville, Ga., Shirley Fonner of Peace Valley, Mo., Lillie Roberts of East Peoria, and Wanda Cox of Marmaduke; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Jimmy Parrish officiating. Burial was in Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland. Pallbearers were Jon Parrish, Jesse Parrish, Ryan Gum, Bobby Pearson, Butch Fonner, and Jacob Crow. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
