Published April 6, 1964:
"Milkman Held in Fatal Shooting
MIDLAND, Va., April 5 (Special) State police today charged a Fredericksburg milkman with shooting to death a Brandy Station, Va., dairy farmer on a highway early this morning.
The slain man is Francis G. Yancy, Jr., 26, who left a road house in his sports car with Margaret Clore, 26, a sales girl.
James A. Carpenter, 27, who left the same place in a borrowed car later was held in the killing.
According to Trooper R. W. Willis, the two men encountered each other on Rte. 28 north of here. Yancey apparently died instantly by two bullets fired by a .38 caliber pistol"
