Clifford Clyde Yancey, age 84 of Harrison, passed away on October 28, 2007 at Golden Living Center.

Born May 30, 1923 the youngest of 12 children to Ed Franklin and Nora Alice (Hinkle)
Yancey. Clifford grew up in Searcy County and at the age of 18 proudly went to serve his Country during WWII. Wounded twice he received the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and the Good Conduct Medal. Upon his return he farmed, worked for M & M Moving, and Storage, Turney Wood Products and was Custodian at Eagle Heights School until his retirement in 1973. After retirement he loved working and being outdoors, woodworking, tinkering with small engines and working in his garden. He was a good husband and father and loved being with his family.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Perry (infant), Chester, Vester, and Olaf Yancey; five sisters: Mary (infant), Vada Wright, Elnora Steen, Ressie Harrell and Lessie Morhpis and son-in-law Roger Bobbitt.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of St. Joe.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Juanita (McFarlan) Yancey: three daughters: Sure Burleson and husband Charles of Yellville; Helen Bobbitt of Huntsville, and Ann Miller and Wayne Bailey of Harrison: five grandchildren: Peggy Martin and husband Steve of Yellville, Sherree Cox and husband Steve of Springdale, Anita O’Neal and husband Barry of Lead Hill, Scott Burleson and wife Tina of Yellville and Shawn Bobbitt an wife Misty of Springfield an thirteen great-grandchildren. Two sisters: Jewell McClung of Leslie and Ollie Mathis of Marshall, a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6—8 pm Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Roller-Coffman Chapel.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., October 31, 2007 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall with Barry O’Neal officiating. Pallbearers: Shawn Bobbitt, Scott Burleson, Eddie Mathis, Bill Silver, Eric Silver, Steve Martin and Steve Cox. Honorary Pallbearers: Dr. Sam Scroggins, Dr. Scott Ferguson, and the staff of Golden Living Center. Burial will be in the Canaan Cemetery by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home
