CORNELL D. YANCEY "Red" Gary, Indiana Passed away Monday afternoon, January 29, 2007. Preceded in death by his father, L.Q. Yancy, on April 27, 1991. He is survived by his mother, Mildred H. Yancey of Gary, Indiana; four brothers, Kevin B. Yancey of Chicago, Illinois, Duane (Daisy) Yancey of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jesse (Anita) Watts of Merrillville, Indiana; one sister, L. Q. (Cedric) Collins of Hammond, Indiana; Nazareth Yancey of Indianapolis, Indinaa; a special loving girlfriend of nince years, Penny Paul. Cornell leaves four nephews, Brandon James, Kirby Yancey, Gaylon Sanders and Nathaniel L. Collins; Desmond L. Collins; three nieces, Akiera M. Varnado, Jessica L. Watts and Peyton N. Watts; two Godsons, Jamarim Grady and Joshua Perry; one Godsister, Ashyah P. Perry;. Cornell Yancey was a lifetime resident of Gary, Indiana. He graduated from Marin Luther King Academy in 1989 and enlisted in the Job Corps. to become a Mechanic. He and was employee of the Lake County Work Force and Meijers. Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at the Smith, Bizzell and Warner Funeral Home, 4209 Grant St., Gary, Indiana on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 from 9:00 A.M. to with Family Hour at 10:00 A.M. until the time of Service.
