Edward Jason Wooten, 39, of 1134 Parkwood Court, departed this life on the morning of November 21, 2010 at Jameson Hospital, New Castle, PA.
Ed was born June 19, 1971 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the son of Vicky Diane Wooten, who preceded him in death and Edward Booker, Jr., who survives and resides in Pittsburgh.
He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High in Youngstown, Ohio.
Ed enjoyed playing basketball and was a avid fan of football.
Ed worked as a roofer in Sharon, Pa for many years and upon coming to New Castle, Ed blessed many people throughout the community doing any task at hand.
Ed is survived by his companion, Tamesha Jackson; with whom he resided, a son, Brandon Burley of New Castle; his adoptive mother, Sherry (Kenneth) Williams, grandmother, Queen Esther Gadsen of New Jersey; siblings, Kimberly Turner, Christina Davis, T'Andre Rudolph, Salle' Hailstock, Cheranda Massey, Treina Martino, all of Pa; Charnelle Burton of Ca; Krisma (James) Gregory of S.C. and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, grandmothers; Inez Booker and Corine Speed, grandfather, Edward (Cuffie) Booker, Sr. and his uncle, Willie (Spencer) Pay.
Visitation is Wednesday from 1:30PM to 2:30PM at St. Paul Baptist Church 616 W. North St.
Services will be held at the church on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30PM. Rev. Robert Mills, pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will take place at Parkside Cemetery.
