I am seeking information on the ancestors, parents and family of ISAAC WOOD, boatbuilder by trade, born about 1819 (probably in Philadelphia), died 13 December 1889 in Lindenwold, New Jersey, buried in Mt. Peace Cemetery/Philadelphia along with most of his family. His wife was Sarah Reynolds, born about 1822, daughter of James (b.1794) and Mary (b. 1804) Reynolds. Isaac Wood and Sarah Reynolds were married at Kensington M.E.Church 1 October 1839. Children included Ann Wood Ristine, Mary Wood, Isaac Wood and Sarah Wood - see Census of 1850, Philadelphia/Kensington-4th Ward. Isaac Wood may have been a member of a family of shipwrights and boatbuilders of the Northern Liberties/Kensington area that included James Wood (died 1747), his sons James Wood (died 1775) and Richard Wood (died 1773), and grandson Isaac Wood (died about 1820). Any additional information on this family and their inter-relationships would be most appreciated, for inclusion in a study of the shipbuilding district of Kensington/Philadelphia.
