BIG correction - i found lots of tutaks on ellisislandrecords.com. they have Andrew Tutak's name as Jedrzej. i know it was Andrzej now, Jedrzej must be an alternate spelling? they have his father as being Marcin Tutak, not Martin. Also Antonina Furlik is on there under Turlik. Andrzej's name was changed to Andrew at New York and Antonina's name was changed to Antoinette. They came separately though, a few years apart and listed themselves as single. Andrzej travelled with a Jan Furlik, possibly Antoinette's cousin as she did not have a brother Jan.
i am looking for info on her brothers and sisters:
ANNA FURLIK, with children Girard and Olga
WASYL FURLIK, born possibly 1883.
ANTONI FURLIK, wife Fransizka, children Bronislawa, Janina and Volodimir.
MARY FURLIK, children Helen, Anne and William.
MICHAEL AND CONSTANTINE FURLIK, twins.
ANTONINA FURLIK, my ggrandmother, born 11 Mar 1897.
PHILLIP FURLIK, children Josef and Adam.
MAGDALENA FURLIK, children Krystyna, Wanda, Maria and Marion.
i think these are in birth order and they all came from Nowosielec/Nowosielce Poland. i know Anna was the first to come to u.s. and the ellis island record that fits her would put her birthdate at 1886. The names could ahve been changed upon entrance to New York, and of course the women would have different names.
their mother was KAT FURLIK, as stated on Antonina's manifest of who she left in Nowosielce. i think her maiden name was WOJCIK.
