Have only today become acquainted with this web
site through Pat Anibal. She sent me information sent
to her by Frank Willmert. Then in checking the Willmert
Message Board, seen msgs. SuzAnn (Oelke/Pasche}.
I have prepared the Willmert Family Tree starting with
Ludwig Willmert who was father of eight sons and
daughters who imigrated to USA and settle the Blue
Earth, Fairmont, Wells, Fairbault County Area. I am
the son of Julius Willmert, born and raised in Frost
where my younger brother Mel lives. My older brother
Ronnie resides at St.Lukes in BE. Bonnie Gartzke
is one of his daughters. My grandfather was William
Willmert and was married to Ottilia Pasche. I prepared
the Family Tree from Broderbund Family Tree Maker.
It covers all of the Willmert descendants originating
with Ludwig and wife Justine "Gustie" Meinke. Broderbund
asked for and I gave them copy of the Tree and they
notified me that they had included it in one or their
CD's. Also making up a part of the Tree is what
information I have been able to find on the Paschke
Family. I would welcome someone familiar with that
family who would review what information I have and
add to, correct, or whatever, the information. Of
course, that includes the Willmert Family too. I made
up and distributed 25 copies of the Family Tree. My
brother Mel has one, Joyce Fraser (Ronnie's daughter
in Austin) Orlo Willmert in Albert Lea, etc.. There is
also a copy at the Museum in Blue Earth. However,
I would like very much to hear from anyandeveryone
interested in our family descendants. Pat Anibal
just today sent me the messages from Frank Willmert
in Germany. From the information I have obtained,
Ludwig and his wife and eight sons and daughters
came to the USA. One son remained in Germany.
Frank mentions his grandfather Julius Willmert. My
father (one of twin boys, Silas being the other} ???
Was he named after his Uncle??. Because of my
wifes (Billy Hines - we graduated from BE HS
together in 1936} health, we moved back here to 6100 W.
Broadway, Apt. 230, New Hope, MN 55428, telephone
1-763-535-3346, after living in Mesa, AZ for 27 years
and we miss AZ very much. But our two daughters
and their families are all in the area to help us when
we need help.. We would welcome anyone who has
information dealing with our family and ancestors, and
especially Frank Willmert in Germany, to contact us.
The Family Tree contains quite a complete list of
names and we will share it with anyone interested.
Just got a new PC, my soninlaw here is my expert
on keeping it going and our mailbox, telephone and
door is always open. Until later - Vern
