i had learned it from my fathers brother. as he has done more reacherch on the topic than i have. i took the info that they were came to the us in the 1780s or 1790s and ran into a us revolutionary war historian who told me that the only prussians
that would have come to the us at that time would have been brought here by the british to fight against the US but were captured in the battle of yorktown (all prussian/hessian mercs that were used by the british were killed in all other battles except this one). they were then offered land here in the us in exchange for their service to the us military. i am also a direct male line decendant of those ancestors. i will ask my uncle where he had gotten the info that he gave to me.
