I know this is a very old post. Was your father the son of someone named Wenzel? I know that my husband's grandfather was somewhere out west during the years from 1886-1903 or so. I keep thinking that a child would show up somewhere as I have a hard time thinking he stayed celibate for so many years. He married in 1905 to a Clara Bohns or Bains. He lived in Rawlins area of Wyoming and maybe in other places as well, during the Wild West period of history. He was from Germany, born in 1866 and his name was William Hugo Wenzel. In the years after he married, I do not know where he lived until he moved his family to Alberta, Canada to homestead. His youngest son was my husband's father, born in 1915. Later, in 1929, William Wenzel left the family farm and went to the U.S. and was never heard of again. I am trying to put together his story and find out what happened to him.
He was in the state of Washington near the end of his life and I think he must have died around 1932, but I do not know where. Your father might have been around the right age for a son. I have been looking for someone born around the years of 1890-1903. Have you had a DNA test done? My husband's DNA is on GEDmatch and is T097802. I am curious to know if there is any connection.
