I am looking for decendants of John Conrad Wentz and Cecilia Amelia Tylee Wentz, Atchison, KS. John Conrad Wentz, born March 20, 1875, Glen Elder, Mitchell Co., KS, married Sept 17, 1898, Cawker City, KS to Cecilia(CeCelia) Amelia Tylee, born June 9, 1881, Burr Oak, KS.

John Conrad Wentz, born KS 1875, was the son of Conrad Wentz born Germany and Charlotte Elizabeth Mader born Germany. The Wentz family of Bayern, Bavaria, Germany migrated across Europe, first to Holland and then to England, coming to America in 1848, settling in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania near the postal towns of Cherry in 1850, Eldredsville in 1860 and Millview in 1870. The family moved from the census township of Forks, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania to Kansas in 1870, homesteading on Granite Creek in Mitchell County. Conrad Wentz died in November 1882, and his wife Charlotte Wentz remarried to Gustav Kraemer.

A. L. Clark 36, married male born about 1849 Canadia, previous residence PA, also resided in the Kraemer household.

Cecilia(CeCelia) Wentz, age 79, died January 20, 1961, Atchison, Atchison Co., KS, and John Conrad Wentz, age 85, died March 4, 1961, Atchison, Atchison Co., KS.

John Conrad Wentz is buried at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
