Surnames: Vasquez, Moreno, Bee, Hernandez, Figueroa, Lorenzana, Cantua, Soto
Tiburcio Vasquez b. 1835 (historians also place him at 1836) Monterey Census of 1850 shows Tiburcio Vasquez, age 15; consistant with birth year of 1835.
According to records:
Tiburcio's parents were reported to be Don Tiburcio and Dona Guadalupe. The Monterey website shows the home of Tiburcio, listing Guadalupe as having a restaurant in the same establishment. Guadalupe was said to be the grand-daughter of a Figueroa, governor of the Mexican state of California. (spain lowered its flag some years prior)
Sister of Tiburcio: as per the account of George Beers: was shown as Amada Vasquez, Francisca Vasquez. He is shown on the census in the household of Francisco Male age 7- his known brother..... and Conception, age 8 female.
The same census shows him in the household with Guadalupe Cantua, a 48 year old Male.
The neighboring property: Jesus Soto, 40 Male, Juan Ant. 3 year old male, Conception 17 female and Antonia aged 9 months. Antonia was known to be a neice of Tiburcio.

Faustino Lorenzana, el Charral, was a known badman, who often rode with Vasquez and the Rodriguez brothers. He was the first cousin of Tiburcio, son of Romaulda and Macedonia Lorenzana. She, the daughter of Antonio Vasquez and an indian. Macedonia was an orphan from Mexico city who took the name of the orphanage, crossing on the Concepcion.
Faustino was child number 11 of 16:
Jose Jesus L. arrested twice on assault charges, (his son Pedro L. was also arrested for horse stealing at age 15)
Apolinario, Facundo, arrested for grand larceny and assault, Juan, 6 yrs in San Quentin for the murder of George Wise, Bernarda, Juana,Faustino, Arcadio, Pedro, Juan, Matias, Fernando, Jesus, Jose, Ricardo, and Trinidad.

I show no direct connection to Tiburcio Vasquez and Alvina Hernandez: Shown in Ca. History Vol with 8 children:
Juan Jose, Josefa, Siriaca, Jose Maria, Purification, Luciano, Francisco, Francisca, and Pablo. 1842 Census adds: Barbara to their listed children. The children born between 1825 and 1840 near Mission Dolores.

I show no direct connection to Jose Tiburcio Vasquez m. Maria Bohorques. He came with his father Juan Atansio Vasquezm. Maria Gertudis Castelo, Brothers Jose Antonio born abt. 1765 and Pedro Jose baby?
Teodore Moreno was stated as a cousin,
Guadalupe Bee was stated as a cousin.

IF anyone has any (!!) of these person(s) in the family, please contact me. I am most anxious to solve the puzzle...
Calif History Volume I-6 is extensive, well worth reading if you have a month or two. my Vasquez bunch is somehow connected to this (as per my great-Uncle July, who is in his 80's)
