You have a William Sickles, in Wi., who served in the Revolutionary War. I wonder if anyone knows where he originated. My 3rd great grandfather was William Sickles b.1769 and had a brother, James Sickels b.1759. I'm wondering if since, so many of their descendants migrated to
other states, including Iowa, if that's where he is buried. He was married to Cather (Kathyrn) Brower and they were originally from New York, then Monmouth County, New Jersey, where many are buried. I'm trying hard to connect the Sickles from other states, back to the original family. I don't; however, have the names of William's and James's parents. The came from Canada in the 1600s and settled along the Mohawk River, then migrated to various other states, including Michigan. I would love to compare notes with anyone else researching the Sickles/Sickels name.
