Jeanie Selina Sheane was my gtgtgrandmother who was married, in Dublin, in December 1846 to Thomas Wiglesworth Reeves. They had a son, James Thomas Reeves, born 0ct 1847, at Lower Abbey Street, Dublin, who was my gtgrandfather, he married Caroline Augusta Gentry in the Register Office in Hackney in April 1870. His father died in Dublin in 1862, and Jeanie Selina married again (I don't know where) as in 1868 she signed a form at the Mansion House in London, declaring the date of birth of James Thomas Reeves, signing herself as Jeanie Selina Dammast, formerly Jeanie Selina Reeves. She and her 2nd husband were the witnesses at her son's wedding in 1870. At some point she emigrated to America, she died 5th May 1895 in Brooklyn, New York. James Thomas Reeves had four children born in Hackney between 1871 and 1876, when they were young he left them and his wife and emigrated to America, where he died of pneumonia aged about 42 years. His second son, James Aylmer Reeves 1873-1954, (my grandfather), said that he had cousins in the States, I would love to hear from any other descendants of Jeanie Selina Sheane, as I only know about James Thomas Reeves and I am the last of the Reeves descendants from him.
