RICHMOND, Calif. - Sherry Sesko of Richmond, Calif., died Wednesday, Feb. 9,2000 in Mrytle Beach, S.C., of cancer.
Mrs. Sesko was born Aug. 19, 1942. She moved west in the 1960s and made her residence at various times in San Francisco, Calif., Novato, Calif., Fallon, Nev., Tucson, Ariz., and Richmond, Calif. After devoting much of her life to raising her two beloved daughters, she settled into a life of doting grandparenthood and avid Internet exploration. She was known to all for her uncanny ability to make smiles of frowns and friends of strangers. Few who met her could resist her warmth, generosity, and peerless sense of humor. With her family at her side, she spent her final days as she spent most of her life, surrounded by the love and laughter she inspired.
Survivors include her mother Dr. Dorothy L. Miller of Richmond, Calif.; a sister, Dr. Ann Metcalf of Kensington, Calif.; two daughters, Diane Sesko, of Reno, Nev. and Lisa McVeigh and her husband Jerry; grandchildren, Rebecca, Jaime, and Keane McVeigh of Little River, S. C.; and nephews, David and Stephen Rosenthal of Berkley, Calif.
