Hello to all..

The Thomas Scott you mention, brother of Robert, was he born in VA?

Is this the same Thomas Scott, d 1849, will probated July 1849, in Franklin Co, GA? This will noted children;
Asa, Allen, William, Nimrod, heirs of Archibald (deceased), and Matthew.

The direct line I have with this group is through Asa, 1808 GA. He married first 4 Nov 1831, Lucinda McFarland b abt 1811. These are the children of this marriage:

Francis M. 1832,
Thomas Freeman 1833,
Robert Malcolm 1835,
John A. 1837,
William Edward 1838,
Asa C. 1841, Benjamin Franklin 1842,
James KT ** 1844,
Martha J. 1846,
Sarah A. 1848
Seaborn B. 1852.

All years of birth are, 'about', and all children were born in GA.
** 1850 census states James K.T. However, in my brothers babybook it states, James P. Dexter Scott. This may be, James Poindexter Scott. Knowing the names that are mingled in, it makes soooo much more sense.

Asa's 2nd marriage was to Rebecca C. Hunter, supposedly in Habersham Co, GA in 1853. The children of this marriage;

Wilson P abt 1855 GA
George H. (Hunter?) abt 1857 GA

James Poindexter Scott married Mary Frances Chitwood. Her parents are, Shadrack and Elizabeth Chisolm Halbert McMullin Chitwood. Shadrack was married first to Emma Rachel Halbert, sister to Elizabeth.

If someone could help me by confirming the questions above about Thomas, I would be so pleased, and most willing to share all information I have about the Scott's, into Arkansas>Oklahoma and beyond.

Thank you,
Amorita
