I am not related at all, but researching the history of the St. Nazianz Colony founded by Father Ambros Oschwald. This priest emigrated from Baden, Germany, in 1854 and founded a Roman Catholic Community at St. Nazianz. The Kautza/Kautzer family does not belong to the early settlers, however Franz Xaver Schwab is mentioned in a list of the "Ureinwohner".
The reason for my research on St. Nazianz is another one. In 1896 the Society of the Divine Savior (a Society of Fathers and Brothers, also called Salvatorians) took over Father Oschwald's heritage. The early history of the Salvatorians at St. Nazianz was rather heavily influenced by the preceding Oschwald era. Can you follow this roundabout?
