Hi Jim, Back from my travels in Tn and NC, so I can now concentrate on my elusive James Sanders.(b abt 1758 NC or VA) I have quite recently come into some information that leads me to believe my James could possibly be the older son of the Rev Moses Sanders from Va to NC to Ga. Dates and repetitive names seem to fit both families, plus twins are common in my Sanders line. Also, my great grandfather Greenberry son of Moses, son of James was a music teacher in NC and he wrote and published a hymnal. He was a strong Baptist until the Dunker Church came to Polk Co NC, This was really called Church of the Brethren. He is buried at Mill Creek in Polk Co. He was well educated, could read and write music and was Clerk of the Court of Polk Co, All his children were educated, too. He started a school in Mill Creek, Polk Co. Do you know anything about this Rev Moses Sanders who started a lot of early Baptist churches in Ga. (Franklin/Banks Co's)My Sanders family migrated to Ga in the 1920's from Polk Co, However Greenberry's brother Jeffrey migrated to Forsyth Co before 1840 and brother Allen migrated to Alabama before 1830. Before moving to Ga, my Sanders family first moved near Sanders relatives in Ala, but did not like Ala so they heard about some land in Ga for sale. Thanks for any info,
