Sorry I missed your earlier posting. According to my Fam.Tree Maker. Monsignor John A. Ryan, who was instrumental in social justice, minimum wages, welfare reform, during the Roosevelt administration in the 1930's, and also helped promote the New Deal is my 2nd cousin 2x removed. A cousin of his, and probably mine was Wm. Patrick Ryan a well known Irish labour journalist and author in Dublin and London c. 1900. His son Desmond also a journalist and author was later private secretary to Patrick Pearse, the revolutionary leader. I found a news paper article from Rockford, IL sometime around 1908 that reads: Luncheon for Pastor at the Patrick Craddick family. Fr. John A. Ryan visits the Patrick Craddick family which included the Quinlans, Mulcaire's, Walls, which were all cousins.
