YOUNGSTOWN – Clifton E. “Bayboy” Ross, 64, departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, unexpectedly at his home in Youngstown, Ohio.
He was born on Nov. 22, 1948, in Girard, Ohio (Trumbull County) to Monroe and Bertha Ross.
He attended Girard and Youngstown public schools.
He was employed at Youngstown Sheet and Tube and also worked as a truck driver.
He was a member of the Phillip’s Chapel Church of God in Christ.
He was a loving son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Bertha Ross Jackson of Youngstown, OH; his son, William Brian Ross of Youngstown; his daughter, Rynita Ross of Atlanta; three sisters, Lollie Teague, Mary Ross and Juanita Huckleby, all of Youngstown, OH; one brother, Terry Ross of Fort Lee, N.J.; four grandchildren, Private Jonte’ and Jullian Ross, both of Atlanta, and William Bryan Ross II and Montrell Hightower, both of Youngstown, OH; his former wife, Laverne Ross Franklin Duck of Youngstown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Monroe Ross; brother Zezzie Ross; and son Lewis “Junebug” Ross.
Friends may call at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, with a memorial service to celebrate his life to follow at noon at the F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 511 W. Rayen Ave. in Youngstown, Ohio. Elder Paul A. Loggins from the Phillip’s Chapel Church of God in Christ will be officiating
