Mark, I do not have alot of information about my grandfather's family. I know he was Phillip Henry Roeder son of John and Hannah Blanchard Roeder. He was suppose to have been born in the poor house of Evansville, since my great-grandmother Hannah was suppose to have worked there while she was pregnant. He was born in 1868. There were two additional sons, Samuel Christopher born in 1867 and John W. born in 1870. Great grandfather John served in the Civil War, possibly in the Indiana 136th Regiment, I am awaiting verification now. Phillip settled in Duggar, IN where he is buried. Samuel settled in Linton, IN where he is buried and John in the Beaver Dam area Kentucky where he is buried. My grandfather Phillip had been married to three women we think a Stewart but have not been able to verify this yet, married to Grace Ligon. They had several children, I remember Ola and Everett, they are both lived in Evansville and are buried there. Everett was deaf and had at least one child, but do not know her name. Aunt Ola had two children, Charlotte and a son who died in the the war. Charlotte lives in Evansville today. Roeder is not a common name so there is or may be a link, but I do not know what. There was suppose to have been two siblings to my great grandfather who may have lived in Evansville and moved to Chicago are, my father is not positive as he was a small boy when he met them.
