Don't have any knowledge of those you're looking for, however, I am also interested in the Ricards of Louisiana. My own group lived in Avoyelles, and perhaps in Pointe Coupee early on. Eli, my great grandfather was born about 1820. I have not been able to identify his parents, but have not ruled out the possiblity of his being a descendant of the free Ricards of colonial Louisiana---just can't put it together! Eli married Julie Jacque, my great grandmother, and perhaps had an earlier marriage. His known children are Mary Ricard Ducote Telemaque, my grandmother, Paulina, Ozite, Julia, Illvert, Louis and Narcise. He died in 1902 in Avoylles Parish. I am also connected to a RedmAn group--also of Avoyelles Parish. My great aunt Rose Telemaque -m- Emile Redman in 1880. I'll have to check my records for Emile. Presly Redman was another name from that area and time. Let me know any and everything about your folks. Avoyelles is near the La/Ms border.
